openFORCE Information Technology specialises in individual software solutions and is based in the heart of Vienna. Our Engineering team is organised in squads and uses the agile working methodology to develop complex software and digitalisation projects for our well-known clients.
We are currently building up a new team for one of our clients whose goal is to enable customers and companies to make responsible decisions that protect our planet for future generations. Specifically, this project will help companies to evaluate and track the carbon and water footprint of their facilities.

- You develop together with your squad and our client a new product in an agile setup
- You will use state-of-the-art technologies e.g. Java and Sprint Boot, Scala or Kotlin
- You will work closely with our Product Owner in refining user stories and planning future deliverables
- You will focus on a seamless user experience in cooperation with your team
- You will contribute to the continuous improvement of our team and processes
- You are free to use your choice of development environment to fit your style

For legal matters, we state that the minimum wage for this position is € 2.556,- gross per month according to the collective agreement (Kollektivvertrag). However, depending on your qualification a fair and market tracking overpayment is to be expected.

- Minimum of two years hands-on experience in web development with Backend Development in the Java platform
- A deep understanding of at least one Java Framework (e.g. Spring Boot)
- Passion for new technologies and applications
- A true team player
- Experience with Git and working with a large codebase
- Strong interest in performance, data management and scalability
- German language skills are a plus
